About me

Hi! I'm Noah Bayter Ardila, a Colombian-Venezuelan animator currently based in San Francisco. I studied Illustration and Drawing in Bogota, before entering California College of the Arts to pursue a BFA in Animation.

My art practice focuses on remembrance, documentation and the celebration of connections, drawing from my childhood as someone who was constantly relocating to different countries. Through this experience, I became fascinated with the interplay between personal relationships, physical space and the concept of belonging. I arrived to animation as a medium in search of a fusion between visual arts and storytelling, and strive to create stories that feel like home for those in search of a place to be themselves.

I currently focus on creating digital 2D animation in TvPaint and Photoshop, and love incorporating the tactile and unpredictable qualities of traditional media, often working with paper animation, stop motion, gouache, and charcoal.
